Pretty hard to make a case for old mate TrittTrittBangBang race 5 today at Pinjarra today. He is a bit hit miss at the best of times, drawn bad out in 3 on the backline.

But sometimes when presented with unexpected opportunity, grab it. And that's what Aaron Suvaljko did today. A bubble at the start, horses breaking, going in all directions, somehow a gap appears and he heads straight to the pegs, 3 back. Perfect, stay there son, soft trip assured. Sits there until the one in front of him starts to fall back leaving the back straight, pops out to avoid it, gets around and goes straight back to the pegs, now behind the leader waits for the sprint lane and angles down and I wont say charges up the inside because TrittTritt ain't a charging sort of horse but did well enough to win pulling away and bring up his 20th win. A 12/10 drive.

The randomness of the whole deal is appealing, a junior non penalty concession race for moderate perfomers up to NR 53, nominate, driver's drawn out the bag, you could get anyone, a random draw, could draw anywhere. Don't know much about Aaron's stats but he has driven maybe a dozen winners without attracting headlines, it was his only drive of the day and he goes home with a $51 winner. Not talking out of my pocket, no bet for me but I reckon Stanley Dancer could not have driven it better. Well done him.

That was the 22nd concession race and I reckon it is a real positive of the handicap change.
