Would love to find something to have a bit of a better bet but just a few speculative ones again.

R2: No1 Jaspervellabeach looks yet another "easy pick" trap. Led and won a few starts back, went around in a fast run race the other day. I just think it's at a price looking too far back into its past rather than what it is currently capable of. So a wide spec something EW No9 Era. It might just go back and not get into the race but if driven with a bit of confidence moving into it when the tempo allows - the horse is flying and if things work out even from the 9 it can be in the finish at $20+. Similar thought path Wicked Hustler was great last week, if the tempo allows it to move into it at any stage it will be around the place.

R4: The old Sweet Coco/Nathan Street stakes. Nathan Street has to be hard to beat as it should get a lovely run through but at $16 No1 Louie Lebeau seems a fantastic EW play.

R5:
Hugotastic has never been asked to show gate speed, it has been backed as though as it just walks to the front and runs away with it. I think No6 Rockandrollartist is well worth a spec @$34 on the basis I thought it might be the one to fire out and take it up, Maungatahi would have to be a chance too. Captain Confetti has been flying but surely this is too hard?? My Watch List will be erupting late. R7: I have to go again No1 Mister Kopa. 8,0,0 form not inspiring but the stables horses can grow wings on the pegs. Might run another zero but worth a few dollars.

Quaddie: 4,5,6,10/1,2,6,8,9,10/1,2,3/1,2,3,5,7. 100% costs $360 so I'm going to need a blowout.

I think Gilga is right on the money with his comments re Jaspervellabeach , at the Evens i think it is the lay of the century

However i like no 6 Pinny Noir at the $6 E/W , 2  starts back honestly 2 starts back travelling like Cardigan Bay , climbing all over them , just needed a run and would of walked in , and in alot better field  than tonight . Then last start , hung at the 600 lost a metre , then got shoved 4 wide and copped a flat tyre , it was an ok run . Tonight i would have no hesitation in going straight to the breeze and rate it , and back the horses ability in to win .

Caller on fire tonight, wrong horse in R3 wrong driver in R5. Called Stewy driving the winner then corrected himself ( in his own mind) and declared Maddy will be wrapped beating Jnr. Very ordinary!!

Was a bit down last night, compared to Boxing Night and New Years Day, there was a pretty cold wind blowing.

But it is like that every year and has been for decades. 5 (used to be 6) meetings across the holiday period when Busselton is full up. Big community involvement, scouts run the burger stall, service groups man the gate, hash house harriers the bar etc.

CEO of RWWA in attendance last night for a look?

No, there hasn't been for many many years. I can recall when Chariots fielded there with big holds. On course turnover at Busso is very large. On a revenue generated from national  turnover v Stakes Paid basis, Busselton returned 60.2 cents in the dollar compared to Gloucester Parks Friday Night return of 28.6 cents in the dollar and 34.7 for combined Friday Night Midweek. (For comparison, Perth Racing Saturdays and Midweek return is 68.4 cents in the dollar).

The Busselton season costs -$97,746 bottom line versus Gloucester Park -$12,940,576. Busso still charge a $10 adult gate entry fee, and they fill the venue up. GP is free admission and no one attends.
