    Just my opinion im entitled to but in following trotting for 60 years odd , and allways enjoyed/loved the Pacing/Trotting 

    But those 1100 metre races are the biggest joke biggest disgrace biggest blight on the industry ever , i only watched the replay biggest someone mentioned the race , got zero interest in them , would never bet on them , and if you ever wanted to hook a horse the 1100 metre races would be so easy , and they could never pin it on you 

    Heard  Radley on 6PR about 9 years ago , he said quote " I better get on a plane and go to Fairfield ( NSW ) and have a look at these 1100 metre races - thus in a decade thats the best they can come up with

    You would have to look at the tactics on the winner of race 6 from last week, they run a quicker 1st half then the Bendigo cup.

    Not sure who we are talking about here as Sagatious lead from gate 2 and the winner Bealawyer (184 starts) started off the second line in gate 9.lobbed the one,one, crossed to the fence behind leader turning for home, before pulling to its outside and running it down.???

    If talking about Bealawyer, 185 starts, 9 wins. Only twice has it got a GS L1 (gate speed, lead and win) assignation next to its name....June 6th 2022 and April 23rd 2024.

    How many times has Ashby led in a race before that race ? Once for a disappointing 6th, has handed up twice before when leading early , based on that i think it would be a fair assumption it would most likely hand up

    Why are we talking about Bealawyers leading record after this race when the horse did not lead (regarding change of tactics) etc and yes put 184 starts before this race in my post to align with Warrens comment above.
