2,900 mts strong to the finish or walk and sprint.
10 looks the goods  go eachway. The driver on fire.

History tells us walk and sprint but all depends on Minstrel, first start for a month last week so depends how he pulled up. Third time lucky bet of the night, race 6 no10 Amalfi Knight big fan of this horse, draw a little tricky but again with the states leading driver i'm sure he will ease his way out.

It's unfortunate that the Cup is not PBD on NR with NR continuing on from 120 it would be a more interesting race with higher turnover.

Well i think it is an outstanding field - one of the best Fremantle Cups in a long time - and its great that 3-4 Eastern /Staters have stayed over for this race

Interesting runner is Rohan Hilliers horse along way to come so must have a very high opinion of the horse - not unlike Magnificent Storm in physique - i actually out of interst watched one of its replays -  6 starts ago at Lonnie when it broke 56 in the last lap - highly impressive

One who i think may improve is Bulletproof  Boy it went well below par last week its alot better than that - its had a week to settle in so it may improve sharply

History certainly repeated itself,   No Handicap No Turnover No industry. The Fremantle Cup should be a standing start.

And moved back to the January Summer Holiday period along with the Pacing Cup & Golden Nugget.
The old FTC members must be turning in their grave at the current state of their Cup watched by literally nobody on track!

Drive Inns , Milkos , Paper Boys , Corners Shops , Picture Theatures , Camera Shops , Photo Studios , Phone Boxes everywhere , Pubs and Club Bars full every Saturday , 50 bookies at Ascot , Record Shops , All vitually gone from Aussie Society . Pacing and Dog crowds virtually non existant all year . Talk to all the young fellas at work and all they talk about is Sports and Horse Racing betting , never Pacing or Dogs . Asked around with them a month ago who Leap to Fame was and only one knew . Message is right there .

Just a small sample of turnover re Fremantle Cup 300k stake, Tabtouch win and place 20.9k, Lark Hill Cup 20k stake Tabtouch win and place 26.5k. No Handicap No Turnover No Industry. Also for RWWA and Gloucester Park not to recognise Anzac Day on Friday Night with the running of the time honored Memorial Day Stakes is absolutely deplorable and disrespectful.

All states seem to be losing the plot on positive swabs.
I just wonder  if , these days for elephant juice or blue
magic and human drugs would be just a fine. Or does it just cost to much
to catch people ? For punters to bet on the product it must
be trusted if true its a free to all.
Its losing its trust very quick with the differences in penalties
from time out to to reprimand.
Maybe just change to a USA  model.
    Its doing my head in.

I think using just one betting platforms turnover figures is a bit misleading , especially adding the fact tabtouch has been such a bad product for a long time now

The lead time in the Freo cup was 3.9 seconds than the consolation who had a field of 9.

Why not go back to a stand for 3 years and see how it goes.

It cant be any worse than fridays borefest.

I do miss the days of the freo and Hunter cups being a stand , but all you have to do is look at the debacle that was friday nights stand, imagine if the let them go while magnificent storm was still turning it would be a disaster
