For the first time in the Australian thoroughbred racing industry, two commercial channels will broadcast different race meetings live at the same time. It will be More Joyous on Channel 9 and Black Caviar on Channel 7.
Australia's most respected commentators, Fairfax's Max Presnell and Ken Callander of News Limited believe the Event on Saturday will be a unique one.
Callander said, he certainly can't recall two channles going directly head-to-head. Presnell added he himself too can't remember Channels 7 and 9 showing live coverage of two different meetings on the same day.
The Peter Moody-trained, Black Caviar is scheduled to get her 20th victory at 4:23 AEST, on Channel 7, before heading to England for the Royal Ascot Carnival in June.
While the Doncaster winner More Joyous is set to start a few minutes earlier at 4:15pm AEST on Channel 9, with rivals Manighar and Kiwi sensation Jimmy Choux and Melbourne Cup winner Americain.
