Damian Lane injured

After being thrown from a horse and was knocked unconcious in a trackwork at Flemington, apprentice Damian Lee has been rushed to Footscray Hospital and will spend Tuesday night for further observation.

The apprentice made a strong start when he recorded six wins in the 2012/13 season in the opening of the season. Lane got another victory aboard Platelet in the Listed Monash Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield last night.

As a result of the injury, Damian Lane is unlikely to take his four mounts at Sandown on Wednesday.
