    Race 2 late

    *-:) *-:)  I have an idea *-:) *-:)

Why not have the horses for the following races in the parade ring as soon as the preceding race jumps. Then when the jockeys get back those that are in the next can run faster, faster, faster, and get changed, and then run out faster faster faster and jump on their horses for the next.
The jockeys that run a place, well they will have to be really fast - in fact they will need to sprint, get changed weigh out and then mount up.

Of course the Hoops will have to have a different saddle for each race as there will be no time to place lead etc etc between races.

:-? So to pull a horse up get back to the mounting yard, weigh in, get changed ( god forbid maybe even have a drink ) run out to the yard mount up and get around to the barriers, load up and then run the next race we should be able to have races say every 15 or so minutes.

Owners - don't worry about them, no time to talk to the jockey pre-race or get a run down after the race and any trophies etc can always be given say on a Monday night where as all winners from all tracks in the state can turn up to receive their prize [-(

I think there is no jockeys racing race to race? That's what I heard on radio today.

that is the key to it..i was sitting in a pubtab and missed a race before i realised the time thing...good initiative, will be interesting to find out how it went logistically

Half an hour between races is ideal in my opinion. Good to see the Crannie initiative.
