R1. Budget Car & Truck Rental Plate - Scott Embry
Dainty Tess proved first-up she is a very talented filly. Held up at crucial stages down the straight and could have won by probably 5 lengths plus with normal racing luck. The way she picked up over the final stages was super impressive and they'd want to be good to roll her here. Very short but deservingly so. Hit Tune has been trialled very well and gets the services of Paul Harvey on debut from a soft barrier draw. Is yet to be fully tested when hard held at all trials to date and should test the favourite but with race experience and W.Pike on her side I'm happy to leave the favourite on top. Storm Power will fly the gates for Dan Miller and lead them most likely and from there should be in a commanding position. Love a 2 year old leader and he can give a show at odds. Pretty keen on the top 2 selections to quinella the race and just feel that Dainty Tess will have Hit Tune covered on debut. Sounds like a cheeky exacta for me.

I'm certainly not sold on Rosmartini. She is the winner of 3 from 5 career starts but first-up over 1200m will want to be sharp. This field lacks depth, there's no arguing that but at $1.65 she is way too short for mine. Happy to look above her in the form guide and back both Airlie Sun and Reverend John in an attempt to get her rolled. Not a lot of point investing at such a short price so I'll have a little throw at the stumps by backing both the less fancied rivals. Airlie Sun was heavily supported in the Breeders Classic at Bunbury, won by Showy Chloe when failing to finish off the race as anticipated before dropping back to 1200m and getting the cash. Comes to town in winning form and should get a handy run behind the speed. Reverend John has filled placings behind both Rosmartini and Airlie Sun previously and alway stuck the eye as a horse who would come back bigger and better. Not saying Rosmartini can't win but at that price I'll be playing around her.
2. AIRLIE SUN - 1. REVEREND JOHN - 3. ROSMARTINI
Star Exhibit was a slight query at 1800m last start and after settling next to last in a leader dominated race was forced to do it tough and still reeled off a very respectable sectional. Drops back to 1500m here and I'm all over him. Love horses dropping back in distance and combined with the fact she'll carry only 54kg and W.Pike in the saddle I'm happy to invest. There was nothing between Tradesman and Lunar Eclipse last start and they should finish alongside eachother again. Leaning towards Tradesman to turn the tables on Lunar Eclipse as he will derive natural improvement from that run and was forced to change directions in the straight. Think Star Exhibit will have a superior turn of foot over this journey and prove too strong. Beyond those three there doesn't look a lot of testing material. Corporate Larrikin will roll along and lead but 1500m will really test.
8. STAR EXHIBIT - 4. TRADESMAN - 1. LUNAR ECLIPSE
SUGGESTED BET - 8. STAR EXHIBIT $50
Cosmic Journey is the regally bred Starcraft filly out of former WA Oak winner and McAuliffe stable favourite Impressive Jeuney. Her debut effort over 1400m in a Bunbury maiden was impressive enough, pardon the pun, to suggest that she'll relish another furlong and safely account for this moderate field of 3 year olds. This field lacks depth and is no tougher than her maiden opposition. She has drawn a beautiful gate, has WA's premier hoop aboard and should go mighty close to making it 2 wins from 2 starts. Exciting times ahead for the owners of this lovely filly. Tame Impala ran a nice race with all things considered last start after blowing the start. If he can step well here then can run a race at odds. Worthy of inclusion into any exotic investment. Hedlander Boy will roll forwards, will lead and should look the winner as they round the home corner. If it turns out to be a leaders day then he's a nice little eachway investment, very honest.
9. COSMIC JEUNEY - 6. TAME IMPALA - 1. HEDLANDER BOY
SUGGESTED BET - 9. COSMIC JEUNEY $50 x $50
Happy to narrow this down to a 2 horse race and open up the quaddie in a narrow fashion. Ripper Rio was excellent last start when tracking three wide the entire trip behind a very slow speed with Johnson-Porter throwing out the anchor aboard the winner King of Wu with jockeys allowing him to get away with murder in front. Ripper Rio swept four and five wide straightening and was certainly the horse making ground on the leaders and ran well through the line. He looks a nice galloper in the making for the in-form Kersley-Parnham-Loloma Farms combination. Caralabek drops back from 2200m to 1800m and is probably the most talented horse in the race. Much like Ripper Rio he is very lightly raced and will go on to contest better races than this. He looks the danger and I'm pretty confident the winner will come from one of those two horses. To add a bit of value to an otherwise boring trifecta I've settled on Toppa Dawozza who ran well first-up and then flopped second-up like many stayers do. He'll improve as the distances stretch and can run a race at odds here.
9. RIPPER RIO - 3. CARALABEK - 6. TOPPA DAWOZZA
I won't be playing in this race, it's a tricky little affair with a few unknowns. I'm sure most expect Kirov Boy to find the front but I seriously doubt Dashing Dan will be able to take off on Kirov Boy and do his normal 'catch me if you can' mid-race move. Expecting Bedamijo to lead and control the race. First Impressions was scratched from the Derby and is now three weeks between runs and dropping back in distance, there must be some queries on her residual fitness and to just how much work she has missed. North Ridge should get a gun run but I havn't been overly impressed with his recent victories. Outlaw Pete is another in-form galloper but will likely settle last and have to power over the top of all of them. So in a tough form race I've gone with the best value and am tipping "that old cat" Street Bandit. Finished within 5 lengths of Wink and a Nod in both the Listed Grandstand Cup and Old Comrade so can prove competitive here at odds. Finished alongside Respondent, Young Lionel and Terror Force which looks pretty good for a horse in double figures.
8. STREET BANDIT - 3. NORTH RIDGE - 4. OUTLAW PETE
Having gone narrow in the opening leg and wide in the second leg of the quaddie I've got another narrow one here with only the top 3 selections included. Dendee was super impressive last start when caught into traffic, weaving through gaps and finishing off the race stronger than anything else. I think the step up to 1400m should be ideal and do believe she has a class edge on most of these. If Magic Turner can give her a sweet ride then she'll be flying down the middle of the track and should go very close to making it an impressive 6 wins from 14 starts. Liberty Rise is yet to finish outside the top 2 first-up after 4 previous attempts and should run genuine race at eachway odds. $8 is probably overs for such a talented mare in a pretty moderate line-up. The Director was completely luckless two starts back when finishing 9th behind Unbridled Spirit and should have no trouble at all turning the tables on that galloper here. I think the winner should come from one of those three with Dendee looking a safe and appealing investment.
4. DENDEE - 6. LIBERTY RISE - 5. THE DIRECTOR
SUGGESTED BET - 4. DENDEE $50 x $50
This is a cracking race to finish the day from a viewing perspective but from a punters point of view is a bit of a nightmare. I'm labelling Verdello Blue, Palace Intruder and Petrol Power as the three horses who can't win leaving me with 7 horses in the final leg of the quaddie. Man Booker was very impressive I thought first-up when caught off the track for the entire race. I think he probably needed that run and second-up here against arguably a lesser opposition can prove himself as the one to beat. Definitely proved to me that he is classy enough to match it with the best even at 1200m which I would suggest is far below his ideal distance range. Profit Street should relish a step up in distance after finding them a bit sharp over the dash for cash. Pike has ridden him to 3 of his 4 career victories and is back in the saddle. Conjob has already won 3 races this preparation and with Randy Randy aboard is very competitively weighted. PTT Quad Investment: 3,9 / 2,3,4,6,8 / 4,5,6 / 1,2,3,5,7,9,10 - $100 = 48%
3. MAN BOOKER - 9. PROFIT STREET - 7. CONJOB

Last time Jetting to London raced on a short back up it ran 3rd in the Northam Cup behind Young Lionel and Battle Hero carrying 55kg drops to 53kg in a weaker race.Last time it raced at Ascot ran a great 2nd behind Sasso's Circus which would be a short priced favourite if it ran in this race)
Jetting To London represents great value at its current quote there has been money for it in this race I have backed it at 13's and 11's.as you can see it has been well supported.
By the way slip I was on it at 100/1 the last time it won in town
