Questions that won't get asked at this afrternoon's Perth Racing AGM

West Australian Racing
1. Please explain a $6.77M trading loss

2. Why are 50,000 less people a year coming to your events in just the last five years

3. The number of starters has declined by almost 10% over the same period. The number of events by the same. Is this decline part of your long term strategy and if not, what planning do you have in place for growth in both field size and the number of races per program.

4. Operating expenditure outstrips operating revenue, how can the business be managed in this manner with any level of success.

5. Why was there no report from the CEO in this year's report.

having the AGM at 2pm is obviously designed to only have retirees present who are there solely to fill in an afternoon and get some free refreshment, not to ask probing questions.

the previous evening time-slot lead to some robust discussion...which is voodoo to the present board.

Indirect at best, but I would think a lot of 'potential owners' may be lured with prospect of leading in a winning racehorse at WA's premier race track.  Only to find out its Ascot/Belmont.

The only people really wanting to be at the track raceday are the owners.  And if a flashback to the 1960's at best, then they're probably looking to 'invest' elsewhere?

    Prizemoney isn't everything @Tivers :D

Pinner, Gangemi and Crossman were all re-elected.

No hard questions came from the floor and it was described by someone who attended as 'uneventful'. So really you can only say that they achieved what they set out to do by holding the AGM at an obscure time.
