TABtouch - Something fishy going on.

I was able to monitor the Saturday markets this morning at the exact time they were put up on the website and these "Top Odds" are a load of sh#t.

They're either framing their market then adjusting it too suit before letting the odds go live, so the top odds were never available.

Or letting their odds go live to a select few people first, before releasing it to us degenerates.

At no point this morning was any of the "Top Odds", that have shortened, available on the website. For example, it's saying Miss West Coast opened 6 and is now into 4. I was refreshing that page in real time and at no point were 6's available.

If these muppets want to allow favoured people to get on first, fine let them do it but don't claim false market movers to the rest of us [-X

    how do you know MWC didn't open at $6 and firmed immediately before you even saw it at $4

    Totally agree with Jell. Saw the same with Bobcat Johnnie. Market went up at $8 but fixed flucs show top odds of $11.

    I still have programs setup from my syndicate days when we used to hit the corporates early greyhound odds. It refreshes webpages in real time so I see the exact time something goes live.

    So perhaps it was 6 at some point on the webpage BUT it wasn't released to the general public via the usual TABtouch DNS.

    I'll use FRAPS next weekend to record it.

    I saw the $6 for MWC and Special Choice on the app, was there for only about 5 seconds each!. Clearly they only accept one bet and drag them in.

    Just to be clear I'm not making this out to be some big conspiracy, I just want them to be accurate.

    My guess is they're framing the markets then letting all the insiders that work for TABtouch, RWWA etc... get on, then putting the website live.

    That's fine, it's perks of the job but don't claim false "top odds". Record them at the odds they went live on the website, or remove the fluctuations.

    This I didn't account for since it runs off a different address. I shall have a closer look next weekend.

    You do hear on Inside Running them talking about the early flucs and superpicks they’ve put on the TABtouch market. Meanwhile myself and others are banned from superpicks and bets get rejected by TABtouch. Preferential treatment so they get talked up on the radio as a worthy bookmaker?

    For the conspiracy theorists there is also screenshots of fluctuations before the betting has even opened..

    I did bring this up earlier when gareth hall and the crew were jerking their gerkins over the “plunge” on Multiverse in winter. Claiming $51 was bet and into $12s. Ummmmm yeah $51 was bet, pigs arse

    incase your not aware tabtouch on their app and when using tabtouch through the net automatically refresh the page your on accordingly so if and when a price changes, when the race jumps and market closes etc etc 

    you used to be able to leave a race field open for hours and as long as you didn't hit refresh or shut down the browser and re-open it would stay how it is but now for some reason the page automatically times out when the race closes and refreshes when the prices change, maybe this has something to do with it Jell

    The page could be refreshing automatically that quick that these so called top prices bet you can’t get on because they’re gone to quick then the page is refreshed :-??

    Enormous value on the Tabtouch prepost..erous Railway Stakes market - 29 horse's between 7/2 and 20/1.

    42 runner's 25/1 and less hahahaha. When it comes to betting books...that's a Guiness Book of world records that betting market. All in too.

    Fave actually under 7/2 ( $4.40 ).
    29 go to at maximum of 20/1 and 42 horses to a best of 25/1, all in market, no refunds.

    Think Pikey was on Multiverse that day...always lots of 50/1 available on a Pike mount @para.

    Like it especially over east when they say 10/1 was bet about this on the Wednesday ( refunds and deductions day ) and it's now just 3/1 but omitting to tell you that four runners including the fave have come out since and the deductions will bring the runner under 3/1, but can't say that can we.

    Some will mention it, but in the same breathe say..'but even so', what's even so about it ?

    Hannans Hcp.day, big street corner tip was Zieball, its opening fixed price, was gone in a heart beat,memory think it went to 4.80. from gate 11 over 1100m. with pike& mcnaught riding two other serious chances in the race dirty dot, fishy, probably could have made claims for emerald rose as well.Zieball finished up 3.60 fixed at start time, Thought with the dominance of pike &, mcnaught  and huge following, probably turned zieball into a big winner for the book. after accepting  token amount of a initial attempt of sizeable bet--.-which sets alarm bells off, as they hold all the aces.

    Of course stg, it's the take no prisoners approach.

    Not forgetting their business is to make money for racing - there not out to give unnecessary money away. Can't have a fixed odds losing book too often - my goodness there'd be hell to pay.

    If anybody thought TAB fixed odds in Australia when first began were going to open at 110% and close at 103%, let all and sundry on, punters winning everywhere - it was never going to happen, how can it ?

    Beats me how any tab ( especially govt backed ) is allowed to bet fixed odds - with the possibility of losing money for the industry.
    But of course they don't lose do they, I wonder why.

    its not really any different to how the other corporates play it.
    put up your early market... track where the money is going from your smart punters and adjust your market accordingly without taking too much risk. 
    I guess if you were going to be critical, it would be of their price assessors... who seem to make some howlers each week... but thats all very subjective isnt it? 
    I have gotten massive overs the last couple of weeks on what could be considered howling mistakes in the early market.... but none of them won.

    That's not my gripe though... I understand that most if not all bookies will do what you mentioned, release an early market and then adjust according to where the money is going.

    My gripe is they are recording "top odds" that never existed (at least to the general public). Granted @Elitist said he saw the opening quote for MWC on the App, so I can't use that but there are a lot of other runners that I never saw offered, at opening odds recorded and I was watching every second before the market was released.

    Or at the best they're taking minuscule amounts before winding them in dramatically and then claiming "massive plunges".

    When 365 first came on board in Australia remember they took a hit of 117. million for first three years what % was due to marketing I don't know,then have just read they lost 128 mil. over first five years,

    ,Sometimes thought they drew a horses name, then a price. But since then have surely changed how they tackle aussie racing and have become known as bet $3.65.plus there bookmarkers seem to.be on speed now,,,,,,,Never forget a Kalgoorlie meeting. june 2015. received  a tip for pegatego.it was to be ridden by s.meeres,whatever reason e.finger rode it on the day. was 26s with meeres next day saw 37 strange price think it was 15s tab, same day they bet caught in the act 67to1 it was 15 tab, same day bet 34 Saturday skis who was 12 tab touch,and adricat was way over the tab price can't remember his prices as only backed the other three

    .Owner of bet 365 denise coates, should re-employ those price assessors, she has  a bit to play with 6.6 billion net worth,pays herself 500mil. but has donated 200mil.to charity. so the pommy side of the business must be a licence to print.

    FAVOURITE NUMBERS ALLOCATIONS allways up within  5  minutes of closing time. took 28minutes today, had trouble shuffiling  the required. short ones

    Hahaha, that's funny stg, the number of times have gotten 6 numbers and just missed some massive dividends, unreal.

    Just one example of over a dozen, got 6 they paid out on the usual 7 to one winner, had a systems 8 and the two numbers missed out on both ran second, both trained by DK Weir, back Weir drink beer alright.

    What keeps me going...ya gotta get 6 before ya get 7!

    That's funny above too about the bar fly...definitely sees all.

    Tell you what though and been mentioned by a few lads, spoke to a fellow tonight and he follows them reasonably, but nothing passionate...first thing he asked...that was a big run the other day, why was Jericho Missile such a big price ?!

    Think several asking the same, and once again not a cracker for Dig Deep, amazing. Little Fish the week before too, not a dime for it.

    Once the up and coming Mr. Peters horse's are in a race and add the Pike factor, it can push a few out in the betting. I'm still of the opinion that the fave's start shorter than ever! The good news about that though is horses like Jericho Missile, Megazone etc are getting out in the market.

    But at the end of the day, and it's never changed in an eternity and probably never will - approximately 30% or something like a third of favourite's win.

    Wonder why that's so, that figure has never changed much at all, through the ages, all codes all throughout the world.

    I was lying in bed this morning with a hangover (thanks to Chris and old forumite Slacka... who is in town) and thought I would try the opening odds on Tabtouch. 

    I was specifically interested in Race 3 on Saturday.

    So I'm clicking refresh... every 30 seconds until race 3 comes up. Lo and behold... they post $7 about Drinkwhatyoulike... the prices are there, but you cant click on them and bet as they are "greyed" out. Some sort of pre-release mode I guess. So I keep refreshing, every second until those prices go live... 
    Eventually they do and I add to bet slip and try to have $100ew. 
    it says to me... over limit (which its not... as I can normally have a bet to win $600 with no issues). so i go back to the market screen and the prices are gone again. 10 seconds later they return and Drinkwhatyoulike is $3. 

    They obviously made a mistake with their market because they put up Dantang at $3 and Drink at $7. No problem with that... but the flucs on Tabtouch show drinkwhatyoulike $7 into $3. 

    So, I can guarantee you... there was NO $7 bet even though it shows on the flucs.

    Conspiracy theory: they can put up any price they like about any runner... if they get peppered in the first few minutes of betting... they can knock back the bets and shorten the price... 

    voila.... market corrected with no input from bookmaker or form analyst.

    Diva, that's why anybody who knows what they are doing needs to cease and desist. Don't get on for peanuts early. Just leave it alone. Human nature says that someone will take the odds but it won't be me.

    not normally something I do... but I was on there having a looksee and saw them put that price up... which was clearly incorrect... 
    But yes, I do agree with you... better off leaving the markets to go up and settle.
