R1: No3 Bellezza Nera (Place). I thought it could get across Per Ardua Ad Astra-to me this horse has had nowhere near the gate speed it once did early in its career. Sounds like others disagree so possibly get a better price (even way better) but I am happy to take the $3.40.

R3 No3 Watts Up Sunshine (EW). Best bet here. Again against the market I had it crossing Ima Fivestar General and just continuing on from there.

R4 No5 Soho Dow Jones (EW). Loved its recent gate speed can position up early even dominate from the breeze. Would like to be on Sugar Street as well but is currently a bit short for me.

R6 No3 Lady Jadore (Small EW), No9 Nullabor Navajo (EW mid tote). I'd give the 3 Lady Jadore a massive chance of crossing the 1 and to me is massive overs around 25/1 at the moment. Bit of speed will set it up for Nullabor Navajo, mid tote I think come pay out time could end up getting out to double figures.

R7 No10 Tubs Farquhar (1by3). Tubs continues to fly, leaders back here with Cowboys N Bandits in the breeze I think they are going to run pretty quick opening it up for Tubs to get of and flash. Like the race as a first four option as well. 1,10/1,6,10/1,2,6,7,10/1,2,3,6,7,10. 100% costs $26.

R10 No4 Trittrittbangbang (Small win), No5 Acoltnamedsu (EW). $17 is a very friendly price for punters to go again Trittritt-every chance to lead and probably not go as quick this time. Acoltnamedsu the main bet, held up last week got going late when out. Question marks off the pegs tonight but have to go again on current form vs this line up.

    Albany.

    Multi R2 No6 Bazaar Package R3 No9 American Monarch.

    Good luck all.

Not sure why but for the first time for awhile there were some significant differences of opinion on the preview this morning. Perhaps the divided stakes format having an affect.

I must be in the minority when I expect the vast majority of our races to start on time.

It is becoming increasingly obvious that the Drivers, Starter and Stewards could not care less.

There was a big fireworks show at crown just before the mares race, we were all doing our best to keep them in their stalls let alone get out onto the track

Far from ideal and a potential nightmare for the trainers and stable staff...the stewards report explains the time changes. It seems like Crown don't extend the courtesy of notification.....or if they did, it got lost somewhere in transmission.

Jawsoflincoln shifts up the track in the straight when he was a beaten animal. Call me a cynic but does he shift up the track if he had a bond horse behind him? Would he shift up the track if the Mrs was running on down the outside?
I have no skin in the game but if I was a minstrel punter or owner I’d be furious. He was robbed

Nobody told some of the trainers as they had their horses in the parade ring when they started going off, you would think they would say to trainers, there is fireworks going off at this time, keep your horse in the stalls until finished.

That all uu at Albany would have thought in the bag at the 400m, AM did not do much in the straight. Tubbs F looked big chance on corner but never ran on. Soho Dow was a top run but from last

Meanwhile, not all Hope was lost down at Albany.....I would have thought, obviously clearly wrongly,  that for whatever reason, if a horse starts before all the other horses start and gains a stated "unfair advantage", there could only be one outcome. Apparently not.

Was also baffled by this, surely it’s just a DQ

According to that ruling, if you go through the tapes, gain an unfair advantage and it is not called back by the starter as a false start, you only gain advantage over the horse that finishes closest to you and not the rest of the field? That is a bizarre decision which must be overturned.

Does Maddison drive a winner when Jurior leads or parks in the death and provides the shepard?

Looking at the replay, the driver knew something was amiss. Would not be the starter for Standing Starts for a million quid, only have one set of eyes

NO. We will see how brave the stewards are........... $8.50 into $3.70 the winner.

Last start Group One winner that’s drawn 1, of course it’s going to be backed in from $8.

Winner had to earn it, burned hard early and was too good in the end. Why would it burn a 35 lead time if organised like you’re suggesting? Ludicrous

The problem is the last 30 mts.
Not the lead time (they are FFA horses)
    Minstrel or Pinny Tiger win.
If there wasn't a magical sprint lane.
If it was any other stable or driver behind the leader ,
it would of been dragged back into the field.
That's what i saw, but people see things differently.
