Noticed this new name listed to ride at Kalgoorlie on Sunday, just the one ride, but hasn't ridden any trials - anyone know anything about him?

    Cheers Elitist, just googled the name and that page came up

    Victorian apprentice Campbell McCallum has moved to Perth on a three month loan to Ascot trainer Dan Morton.

    Apprenticed to Lee Hope in Victoria, Campbell is ready to break into metropolitan riding ranks. He has a 3 kilogram claim both Metropolitan and Provincial, and can claim 2 Kg in the country.

    "I am excited about riding in Perth. I needed a change of environment and change of scenery. I started my time in Cairns, but then transferred to Melbourne when EI hit."

    "I found it hard to get rides in Melbourne and thought I'd try my luck in Western Australia."


    Campbell goes to scale at 51 kg.

    He arrived in Perth on Monday June 8 and is riding trackwork at Ascot.

    Campbell McCallum is available to ride this coming weekend, – his contact number is 0420 966 696

    Not a bad time to be riding for Dan Morton!
