What to call my rising 2yo Colt

Please help me choose a name from the attached list. I just can't decide. Cycling names have always been a favourite of mine.

Djamolodin Abdujaparov - my favourite pro sprinter from the early nineties, known as the "Tashkent Terror"

Fabio Casartelli - Olympic Champion and team mate of Lance Armstrong in Motorola, killed on a mountain descent in Le Tour

Col du Tourmalet - legendary high mountain of the Pyrenees(my filly Ventoux named after another mountain)

Slippery Kitten - Baby cat hopefully sounds fast

Jackboots - from dam's name

Stalag 13 - dam by Salieri who was in turn out of Hogan's Sister(1966 comedy series - Hogan's Heroes)

    You wont be able to use Stalag 13 - numbers under 25 are not allowed

    would be "Stalag Thirteen" I think numbers are OK if preceeded by a name. It is not my favourite anyway.

    Looks like it is going to be Casartelli by popular vote. I am a fan of Abdu but the Casartelli story is a good one. I'm sorry but under the rules, that I wrote, only names in the poll will be considered. LOL

    No probs TETE you and you'r Co-owner can use some of the residue names for the 3 weanlings you bought (on behalf) and save some for 3 foals from the broodmares. Residue names. ????? Yep we will try to make them stick like glue. 8)

    Got incredible bad reactions to that name. I thought it was great, but some said it sounded female. So I threw it open to this poll. I'm happy with Casartelli anyway, he was an inspirational cyclist who was sadly lost to the sport far too early.

    I reckon you may have struggled to get Slipperey Kitten thru.
    They do look into it quite thoroughly.
    Besides why would you want to call a colt "Wet Pussy" ???

    The name itself really isnt that offensive, but its history now. The masses have voted in their dozen(s) and it looks like Casartelli will be his name. Just finalising the last of the part owners and then I will apply for the name. He will come up into work in three weeks, just to keep him ticking over. It will be good to see the growth spurt that I'm told he has just gone through.

    Imo Bearcat will be a success - if his first crop yearlings are anything to go by.
    Still kicking myself i didn't buy one - a cracking colt out of a half sister to Ebony Grosve & Macrosa - dam of none other than Our Giant and ROCKET MAN!!!
    Vendors wanted $25k, my budget was $20k... No doubt worth a lot more now :cry:

    The weanling I bought yesterday for my friend is another that has the look that Bearcat will be known for. Good strong conformation but athletic as well. The staff at Taunton Vale, who first told me about my yearling, also alerted me to this one as the pick of the stud. I was also the under bidder on the only Bearcat filly from Taunton Vale, but in the end I pulled up short and said I would save it for the colt, who I thought would go for $12-15k, as the filly went for $7k, but he only cost $8k. Sometimes you just don't know and I could have been caught out by price, but in this instance it went my way.

    noticed a 2yo foo peg in nsw trained by Kris Lees named "Castellani" very similar sounding..
