Two kids who look to have talent and a future.

Anyone want to rate one over the other at this point?

Seems lately, every meeting ryan hill rides a $25 winner.

Thoughts/coments?

Grantham looks like he might struggle with the weight as he gets older what with being so tall, although Hill seems to manage and he is also above average height. Hill's eventing background is an asset to him I believe, he does a half decent job educating the youngsters.

Young Grantham is a top horseman and i would back him against hill any day ...im sure most of ascot based trainers would agree as the kid can ride a buck and isnt too shy at coming in off the track at break neck speed !  ..rode a top race on Wednesday on Private dance also

i watched ryan hill event a trakehner stallion last season which covers all disciplines and he is a very talented rider especially for a [21YEAR] old.I have seen him at larkhill where his renowned for riding feisty youngsters.
I am sure young Grantham is a good rider , but there is always this difference of opinion when it comes to comparing young hoops based at larkhill and young ones in town.
  • Hill might be a very good horseman, but fair dinkum, has absolutely no style whatsoever, would give a crowbar a sore back, nearly falls off when he hits them, real English style, if he is 21 and still hasn't got it right there is not much hope he is going to get there

Pretty sure all MG's rides yesterday were for Lark Hill based trainers. MG does most of his riding on outside tracks i.e Geraldton, Albany, Esperance and soon Kalgoorlie. Good kid, good rider still learning the tricks..

you could be right P& \B or we could have a pom lifting the apprentices title ,if k.Y. disappeared for the rest of the reason.
May as well , we have a pom/taffy PM a pom for a opp. leader we then had Ozzie Joe Bugner Hungarian/pom . oh! and there was whispering jack
voted autralian of the year still had a Brit passport, then the BeeGees
poms, acdc two front men Poms, better stop getting off course, any way i don't think he will change his riding style because it is not pleasing to some eyes doing very well good trainers are giving him rides now hope he and MG continue to ride winners.

Geez... they nearly all ride them "English Style" now. With the new rules et al.... even "Dasher" looked like a Pom when he rode for us the other day.

Like his Dad and Uncle (and Grandad!) Good horsemen, good riders, but he's always going to be too big!
