As most would know RWWA use centrebet to operate the fixed odds service PLAYER
I am setting up this thread for anyone to post when they get knocked back for a fixed odds bet with PLAYER
or anything else to do with poor service/quality so that those who make the decisions on our wagering services can see this
I am sure 99% of WA punters want to be bet local but its impossible to do so when the quality and service is so far below that of other operations
----------------------
we have to put up with having a Cent-a-bet for a while longer yet
CENTREBET ASX ANNOUNCEMENT, 01/06/2009
Centrebet has now commenced full scale operations under its contract to provide fixed odds betting management to the ACTTAB, Tote Tasmania and Racing & Wagering Western Australia.
Centrebet Managing Director, Con Kafataris, said that for the next three and a half years, Centrebet would manage upwards of $200 million per year in fixed odds betting turnover on behalf of the TABs as well as driving revenue growth through expanded event coverage and new products.

2013 cannot come quick enough
PS - The contract includes an option for the TABs to extend the agreement for a further 18 months at the completion of the three and a half year term.
Please no

incorrect HB. I had asked for $100 ew at $17. By the time I went back after being knocked back, they offered me $14. I asked for $100 ew at $14 and they offered me $34 ew.
I have once again written to Ben Pomatti (for the third time) about this issue, but it seems Player dont really care.
I happily took my $100 ew and had it with one of the corporates at $14.
Apparently the fix is classified as a "project" not just a technical fix up.........which i find hard to believe. So being government, and being a "project"........well, you can guess the rest!
Anywyay, the first "phase" of the "project" starts in September. god knows how many phases there will be.
So, while Rome is burning, RWWA will fiddle....and fiddle....and fiddle....and by the time they get their act together, we'll all have accounts with Victab and Unitab....whose fixed odds markets WILL BET THEIR CUSTOMERS decent bet sizes and they'll do it now...not in September or 2011 or 2012.
Im afraid the horse has bolted Player!
But please do remember......BET LOCAL OK?
My mate went to a TAB to back his horse Werd. From memory, he wanted $400 on it.
It knocked him back. The TAB operator told him to try putting through 4 separate tickets for $100 each.....which worked.
So now even the TAB staff are clued into the problem and helping their customers get their bets on, while the top brass fiddle.
makes the TAB look even stupider when that happens
On Saturday I tried to have $25 on Chris Masten @ $11.50 to get most disp in group B. Player wouldn't let me on and said the maximum bet was $19.
Their liability would've been $262.50...what the?? ...
Begs the question, their limits are fine to take a $50,000 bet at $1.80 or so, but not fine to take some of the bets listed above?
those of you fortunate enough to get your bet sent to be intercepted by them have to wait several minutes sometimes before you know what the hell is going on with your bet. they come back to you, offering a reduced stake. absolute crap
Funniest moment was when the cantakeabet rep revealed someone had placed $100 at $31 on Kevin Rudd being reinstated as Labor leader (funny in itself) and that this had forced the price from $31 down to $27. Now that is a joke
Good morning Daniel,
I spoke at length with our book management team last week regarding the potential availability of Multi betting for ?Brownlow Medal ? Team Most Votes? markets. Unfortunately, as offering this functionality last year proved extremely costly to the business from a margin perspective, the decision has been made to leave the markets set to ?Singles? only.
From a customer service point of view, we would have liked to enable Multi betting for these markets, however, we also have to take into account that continuing to offer unviable services on a long term basis is not sound business practice.
Thanks Daniel and should you require any further information, please feel free to contact me.
Kind regards,
Ben Pomatti

During the year I had a stack of bets on the Hawks to make the top 8 in AFL
After last week they are guaranteed to make top 8
Only one betting agency has failed to resolve the bet - only give you one guess which
It took them past the next race to pay me out, leaving me dry and not being able to have a bet on Joesready, which won @ $19 :(
I have also had the problem with the e/w bet needing to be the same amount.
I have also wanted to put $50e/w on a runner which had a max of $5e/w, so i had to fill out 10 tickets!!
Multi bets are a waste of time as they always come up with an error, and deductions on fixed odds is crazy.
Now I only bet local when Im at the track, or with trifectas, quinellas, ect and the occasional early market fixed odds.
You get much more value with sportsbet, with no deductions on any fixed prices, and you can practically multi anything with no betting limit on runners at a certain price, and they pay out as soon as correct weight is declared!
THANKZ :D
next jaw dropper pay day only 2 days away D D
markets aup for Balaklava, Ballarat and Warwick Farm tho
but just remember bet local
and regardless PLAYER is a service for WA punters so why do we not get a service for WA races yet we get Eastern States options
How does that help our local industry??
