Waller is big on building a horse's confidence. It seems like he could be just the right trainer for Mr Moet. If there is any hint of the horse's former ability, Chris will extract it.

Waller trained Kelinni to a 4th in the melb. cup. Mr Moet is better than that horse.

Waller has done some good thins with rejuvenating horses, good examples are shoot out, danleigh and metal bender. If anyone can get him firing it is Chris Waller. All these horses were promising young horses who either lost form or got injured and he turned their fortunes around.

    i backed MM yesterday...big mistake.

on reflection...the horse had a campaign over east competeing favourably in group 1 races. he was up against the big boys, much like the local club champion having a round with tiger woods. good but not good enough.

to bring him back here after that sapping campaign, was, imo, folly. the horse should have been left in the east to spell and then go to his new home.

this foray back here could be the undoing of the animal. i would not be surprised if waller changed his mind...i know i would.

it is a far cry from failure at ascot to success royal randwick.

as a few wags on here may say...."the horse is f&*#ed".

He raced very dour has there been any talk he won't run in the Perth Cup if so why is he still in the market

Pre post betting is a real mugs game

Pretty sure he is off to the paddock, no Perth Cup.

If so they should put doubtful next to
mr Moët in betting it shits me no end they take bets pre post when most of us know the horse won't go round

Waller will get him to win something over there maybe Brisbane winter carnival or a country cup plenty of staying races with small fields over east to pick up
    Prize money

Lets not forget he ran 5th 2 lengths in a Caulfield Cup
An 4th in a McKinnon so not hopeless in the East

Agree tho needs a long spell

I see he is no longer in the WA TAB market.

David Hunter has tweeted that Mr Moët and Crumpet O'Reilly officially scratched from Perth Cup.

PT can you imagine the fall out if Mr Moët was taken out of the market or shown as doubtful and connections decided to start.

The onus here lays with connections to scratch and most give little thought to all in betting.

True oh well he's out as we all knew he would be still how's many punters did the tab get cold after his piss poor run sat the stewards should demand an answer for the punter you running or not at least within 24 hrs after the race in the case of going so bad I know won't happen but I am sure most here don't play long range markets it's a sure way to the poor house

It is in the stewards report
    MR MOET (Peter Hall)
Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
Mis-strode and became unbalanced at the 300m.
Trainer Mr A. Durrant advised that the gelding will now be sent for a
    spell.

If a slightly lower rated stsblemate was in it, MM wouldve been scratched with general malaise sometime between acceptances and race morn...

Yep so didn't the stewards demand a line they him in the markets for the Perth cup after the race then it's BS the TAB was taking bets on him after the race next day ffs as were other agency's where is the protection of the punter an integrity of the TAB
  • PuntingTragicPuntingTragic    1,141 posts
Bloody stewards should have informed the markets the horse would not run an to draw a line

BS about the mid stride at the 300 a gap opened like the Red Sea he could not go thru it he races like a tired horse who was over the top

We all know its an absolute joke the pre post markets will leave a horse in they know won't run and if you do your cash bad luck. Yet if you get any inside info on a sports bet like Daniel Merrett may start forward they refuse to pay out when he kicks the first goal. Covering old ground but man that shits me!

Don't bet pre post markets it's nuts they have the 2014 melb cup market out now an cox plate betting on then now is sheer lunacy yet people do it

I think the TAB should refund all bets on mr Moët from the time of the stewards questions an hearing he would be scratched for integrity purposes I know they bet all in but to me it's a sham

Ihtsahymn was $7 pre-post before the KT, though.....On a related note "ihtsahymn" sounds like a confusing game you play when you visit the "open minded' inner city suburbs(think Darlinghurst) of Sydney. Arthur or Martha indeed. :-??

PT says : -     an skirts too tight too short with there spank pants showing

I feel this should be compulsory - and will be attracting males to the races.  The honeypot where the bees collect.
