2015 AFL Finals Series

I will most likely get shot down for starting this, but here goes anyway.

Freo win all their remaining games and finish top of the table ahead of Hawthorn who also win all their remaining games.

West Coast lose to both Hawks and Freo to finish third, ahead of Sydney who win all their remaining games.

Even if West Coast win the Derby, it won't matter as all other games should go Freo's way, and they remain ahead of Hawthorn.

So the finals series would be made up by Richmond, Bulldogs, Adelaide and Collingwood.

That puts Freo and West Coast on a Preliminary Final clash, with the other Preliminary Final between Hawthorn and Richmond.

My Grand Final is then for Freo to play the Hawks and sadly miss out again as nothing will stop Hawthorn this year.

Anyone else have ideas ? I used the AFL website ladder predictor http://www.afl.com.au/ladder/ladder-predictor

Don't you boys know the "Football adage"

1 week at a time, you are looking into a glass ball.

I hate the Eagles with a passion, but I think this might be their year. They are playing a fantastic brand of footy. My boys, the Pies, are shot ducks. They will struggle to make the 8.

I think the Hawthorn V Weagles match coming up is the grand final maker. The Eagles can beat them, with that swinging defense that they use so well, but the expectation is that the Hawks should account for them easily. The game would have to have a margin - in any direction - of more than 40 points to make it a clear cut result. IMO

Well said mate interesting article on AFL website today about the "flag certainties" that have been declared this time of year and how they've fared. . Think Geelong 2008 and St Kilda 2009. At this stage hawthorn look impossible to stop but anything can happen in September.

Eagles supporters getting ahead of themselves, have you not watched the Hawks at all, or do you just watch old replays of yourselves

With no changes to the ladder in the final round, the first week of the finals will be:

    Qualifying Finals
    FREMANTLE v SYDNEY
    WEST COAST EAGLES v HAWTHORN

    Elimination Finals
    RICHMOND v NORTH MELBOURNE
    WESTERN BULLDOGS v ADELAIDE

not sure they have the personnel to go all the way but since that game against the eagles it appears that they have realised what playing to the best of their abilities means this year.....
