Looking forward to this race - possible rematch of Megatic and Marasco, barrier drawn makes riding tactics extremely interesting.

Great to see Scenic Shot back.

Also interesting to see the nomination of Tribulations - trying to do an Educated Money I presume?

    Barrier 1 not cool for Marasco. Maybe the field will drop away and it won't be a problem.

    not much speed at all so this may cause hartleys dream to be scratched no speed has hurt it already in its 3 runs in this prep and plus it did run last sat

    Looks like a no contest to me, but i thought that on Wednesday!

    Pikes ride on Marasco last start was appalling, reckon he'll walk this in :)

    Capuchin is going around but not in the Lee Steere.

    I think Grasspatch Girl is the only possible leader but what does Pike do from barrier 1??

    The race is likely to be slowly run so if he goes back and pulls out wide he may have to run blistering sectionals to win - if he holds up from barrier 1 and sits midfield he risks not getting a run.

    I'd be pretty confident I Command and Grasspatch Girl will share the lead. Marasco should sit behind the leader.

    if marasco misses the jump over that distance, then goes into overdrive it may place but could kiss the choccies goodbye.

    Darkshines i think you right I command ,Grasspatch will lead ,but hte question is will Marasco settle ??????I read FRK reckons he is going as good as ever will belt this lot and win Railway as well ,why did Ponty get of he must have a big opinion of Albies horse.

    just that i think SCENIC SHOT and HARTLEYS DREAM will get out quick. also I COMMAND will be trying to cross as soon as possible. if MARSCO jumps quick and clean others will need a GPS strapped to MARASCO to find which way he went. won't be waiting to see who is going to lead. but it is a different story if he JUMPS late getting caught on the RAIL. will be an interesting race beside the NORM we have been seeing.

    Yeah doesn't make sense to me either. As good as he thinks Megatic might be, I doubt he'll be as good as Marasco.

    I don't think the run of Scenic Shot when he did that Saturday track gallop between races should be discounted. Marasco had a race under his belt and more preparation behind him, Scenic Shot on the other hand is starting his campaign and could race very well fresh, as he looked in need of the run but still didn't disgrace himself against Marasco.

    At this moment in time I would have to think he is very solid for the Perth Cup over the now infamous short course, and probably looks good for the Fruit & Veg as well.

    marasco should be ready for this , but grasspatch girl will get some each way money from me could run along in front and get a easy run, also thinking scenic shot first up , my trifecta is marasco , grasspatchgirl , I command, scenic shot ohh yeah 8) allways of course

    Book managers would have been working the Oaks Day races yesterday - pretty sure it happenned last year. Expect them up about 12.

    Will be interesting to see who they make favorite - hope its Megatic
