I'm not sure what the go was, but races 1, 9 & 10 were added as a late programing change, all horses were late noms into them. Might have been to boost the friday meeting.

Agree somewhat on the stands but they are running 3 different stand types. One based on NR, one based on discretionary, and the other based on how many lifetime wins. My personal opinion is they stick to the first two.

I watched it on free to air tv. Tremendous coverage on the program, and really great personal interviews. Only a 250k race, but thought it was one of the better big races.

Doesn't surprise me, I think same happened previous years. If you ever have to deal with licensing, its an immediate negative experience, not a positive one.

A lot of people don't go into the stands, because it blows their chances in these LT$8k races and so on. I think maybe a conspiracy to kill the stands a bit...or its just a gaping hole in the current system that the powers to be haven't worked out. …
