Agree that the new owner should be compensated. But that is not the RWWA's jurastiction - more of a trade practices act scenario if the owners want to take it up.

Courage under fire would have to be one of my favourite. Only pint sized but was an outstanding juvinile. From memory he one about his first 20 starts, including all the major derbies. His first defeat came in the heat of the inters.

I lived in leonora until about 1995. Even then you couldnt start twice in the one day. And was a licenced Jock venue. Not sure when it cut out, but it was laverton, leinster and Wiluna where you could start twice in the one day, with amatuer jocks.

http://www.harness.org.au/news-article.cfm?news_id=15811 Good concept in link above, whereby the colours of each horse signed by trainer and driver are being auctioned. The only problem is, is that they can not guarentee that colours purchased wil…

Would be interesting if we could do a comparision of total winnings using a common year to calculate the stake money for races won. Might get a few different horse popping into the list.

I have heard my old man tell the story many a time that when he was a kid, he would go to the races when his old man had rides and bring home chaff bags full of tickets to sort through. Used to do all right i believe. A sight you wouldnt see today.

Remember when the trots were on Channel 31 on friday nights going back about 8 years ago? Went ok i thought. I think that got canned for being to costly. Plus the gallops werent willing to contribute for the exposure that they got.

Punting stable or not, they got $1750 in stakes when they could have got $7,000 for a maiden at pinj. I know most owners would want try and get the bigger maiden win if they knew their horse had the ability. These owners must have thought that th…

Pakistan are playing well. Apparently the coach is strongly encouraging the players to start backing themselves more!

What a great show by the Dutch last night. Accomplished batting dispay and all but clinical in the field. Just lacked some venom and accuracy with the bowlers and some of the field placing placings and tactics left a bit to be desired. Good to see …

the times should be correct. The winner of the second last won a midweeker at Ascot during the next week. So it probably wasnt your average picnic field.

FYI, hardly anybody apart from government workers get leave loading these days.

The horse that was third past the post was going to run second. Therefore the numbers had to change.

shook my head at a statement made by Richie Bell at Narrogin yesterday after the 3rd of Edwards winners. It was along to lines of...... its good to see as he needs all the support he can get at this time. what a load of crapola - you do the crime,…
